Information Systems (ISYS) reminds me of Economics in High School. Ton of information, lots of fancy words to describe something rather “obvious”. If you were to carefully sit down and think about it, it all makes sense but in order for you to put it into fancy words and actually remembering all of the crap can be a problem.

I’ve spent more time studying for ISYS than I have for any other subject…and the biggest problem is that…I haven’t studied that much for it. Most of the time I would sit down and try and study for it…but end up wandering else where on the internet. It’s so boring.

By the looks of things, once ISYS is complete I can finally focus on other subjects. Databases seems like a last minute crammage, since it’s the day after ISYS. I’ll probably, study Maths all day after Databases, and then followed by some C on Friday, followed by Maths and C on Saturday and then C on Sunday. That’s how I like to plan it out but it never works out :(

*sigh*

I would like a Distinction Average, hoping for a HD average, I haven’t failed any assessments thus far. Using a bit of unix and spreadsheeting skills, I’m ranked 16th in Maths at the moment, out of like 28 people in advanced or around 150 if you include everybody in normal.

I have some plans for after the exams, mainly spending time with you-know-who, catching up with friends and working on my website. I’m thinking of using PHP, mysql, ajax to make it. Going to design a system that replaces this current blog. I’ve also worked out a method to “alert” people on my contact list of any updates to my new site.

What I can do is whenever I submit a new post on the new website, it’ll automatically send an email to “this blog” which will automatically publish an entry linking to the entry on my new website. That way, people will see the shiny star, click on it, visit my blog, and see the link to my site and yeah…you get the idea.

I’ll have 4 weeks to design, code and implement it…hopefully it’ll be enough. I’m also thinking of designing a Photo Album system where it’ll fetch thumbnails directly off Google Photos, and then once clicked it’ll enlarge the photo on the screen ajax style allowing you to traverse back and forth. It’ll save space as the images would be hosted by Google and it’ll also be extremely fast to load since that will also be hosted by Google. But everything is still conceptual, hopefully I can get a working prototype going.

I should go study now. Ciao.
