Ubuntu You’re like the mistress I never had

Hardy Heron came out couple of days ago. I decided to upgrade.
The upgrade took 13hours. I left it overnight and it was downloading at a mere 20kb/sec. Finally, it finished, I rebooted my PC.
I found myself gazing at some pretty slick and cool new changes.
I opened up Firefox and it was working fine. I was happy.
10 minutes later I had no interwebs. I cried.
But then I remembered that my native wireless driver had not be blacklisted due to the upgrade so ndiswrapper was not being used. So I removed it from the kernel and blacklisted it. Rebooted pc. Nothing. I reverted back to what I had before and enjoyed the 5 minutes of internet per reboot.
I deleted ndiswrapper and tried to reinstall it. Epic fail. Couldn’t compile from source and couldn’t use it from repos. I went onto the forums to ask for help but nobody helped. I googled everywhere but couldn’t fine anything. I backed up my documents (good thing about linux is that everything is stored in one place) and reinstalled Hardy from scratch. Epic fail. Same problem.
I then installed Gutsy again. My internet got capped so I had to endure the painfully slow update. But…eventually everything is back up now. I just have to setup some shortcuts and everything should be fine. 
I’ll just wait another 6 months for Ibex to be released which hopefully will fix my wireless issues…otherwise I’ll buy another adapter.

BTW Henry: I don’t know why you see the flashes but I haven’t written/deleted any blogs since the blog when I said that I did…does that make sense?
PS I don’t expect anybody who reads this to understand…but…I’m guessing a handful of you would…

Sorry for the lack of updates but I am still alive…
Anywho…did I mention that my blog is for all to see now (on my contact list…not brave enough to unleash it to the outside world…)
Well, I should be studying for my maths quiz that’s on tomorrow but I’ve been procrastinating as usual.
Well what has been happening?
Well, I managed to get a "Prize" for getting Distinction average in my IT courses.
Also went to Tetsuya’s yesterday. I think we (Diana and I) were the youngest couple there…and the ONLY couple who ordered Coke…and gosh…it was the most expensive coke I’ve ever drank…7 bucks for a glass…each. Ah well…can’t complain about price now 
The service was of a high standard…with all the ‘sir’ and ‘madam’ here and there. The food was nice. I can’t say it was ‘awesome’ but I’m sure a food critic would say so. It’s like going to an art museum and staring at some $40 million painting, you’re probably sitting there thinking "who the hell would pay so much for this thing?!" Similar concept I guess. I might have enjoyed the bread the most. It was some nice bread…and some nice butter…it had truffles in it But, the overall meal was rather enjoyable, lasting over 4 hours. In the end it got a bit painful, thinking "how many more courses are there?!", there were 12 altogether…we lost count towards the end though.
Perhaps I shall go back there for lunch one day.
Would I recommend it?
Well, go there if you have some money to blow and want a taste of "upper class dining" otherwise, save it for the midlife crisis
I better get going with my studying.
