Soo…how about “Sex on the beach”?
Sep 22nd
Went to a cocktail party last night. Just the "INFO" kids plus another friend of Terry’s. But before that I shall recount the relatively crap day I had prior to the party…
I scped into my home computer and copy pasted my report to my uni computer. I tried opening it and it failed…After 15 minutes of trying I couldn’t be stuffed so I just went off to COSC where I did pretty much no work (sorry Pashwell
) but yeah…we ended up getting 2/3 questions out so we only got 1/2 checkpoints done which means I we don’t get the full 10% for the practical marks by the end of the semester
But ah well…it was good.
Then…went to Psych, was 15 minutes late. That was all well and good, handed in my report. I decided to go to Matlab even though I was half asleep throughout half the time and since I couldn’t even see the board I had no idea what was going on (should have just listened to Pashwell and went to Carslaw). As I was hungry I decided to skip my psych lecture and proceeded to have lunch. Lunch was all good.
After lunch, we went to SIT where I decided to email my dad to send me the psych report. He sent it at around 4:20 and alas it didn’t work. I sent him another email, an sms and gave him a phone call to try again but this time under windows and he did it…and it failed again…I asked him if he was able to open it on his home computer and he said it was fine. I was dumbstruck and then this sudden realisation came over me. FUCK YOU MICROSOFT.
Here’s what happened. I saved my psych report in a .doc format which should be fine. I saved my graphs in a .xlsx format which technically shouldn’t really matter. But since I copy pasted the graph from the excel spreadsheet it also copied the xml data from the spreadsheet into my doc file turning the entire thing into a .docx under the filename of .doc. So there I was thinking "nice microsoft…instead notifying me of what I’m potentially doing, you give me the shits and I fail to submit my report".
So then I had to look online for a docx to doc converter and I did it with ease and submitted it. Unfortunately I thought the deadline was 12am but rather it was 4pm. When I had submitted it it was already 5:20. So I was like "OMG OMG" so I sent an email to my lecturer explaining my situation hoping I won’t be penalised. Jeebus Christ.
Anywho, then I went to broadway, had dinner and waited for "certain people" to show up…
Anywho, I had waited for over an hour and decided to go shopping. Here’s where my asian instincts came into play "Do not buy anything that’s not on special". Everything was MW. Stupid Sam…wanted to buy $3.09 for 200g of dip where you can buy 3*100grams of deep for $1 each!So we got the 3 $1 dollar dips and everybody was happy (except for Sam who thought we (Terry and I) were being cheap)…at that moment the Goldcoast "adventure" rushed into my head…ah…good times. Fucking Henry, we sooooo should have put the bacon back and gotten the EVEN cheaper bacon!!! And omg, sif not homebrand milk! It tastes the same! It’s not like they use retarded cows or anything.
Anywho, we spent $31 bucks on food and went to Terry’s place. We spent time playing DoA2, discussing random stuff, drinking cocktails…and…playing Cranium. What else happened? Funny how I can’t think of anything that really happened apart from the fact that it was all fun but I can guess what happened AFTER the cocktail party. Ahahaha.
That’s about it for now.
Ciao…z0r.
Wouldn’t be the least surprised if they forgot

What’s new?
Well, I’ve been pretty busy lately and I’m enjoying it. There was Science Revue on Friday and I have to say that (unfortunately) UNSW’s law Revue was better. It was better in the sense that it had less "WTF" moments. (Btw for those wondering why I’m comparing the two it’s cause they were both based on the same movie…go figure). However, Science Revue did give me the biggest laugh with the "I’m sorry but I don’t speak Australian" skit(s). I seriously need to get a copy of that and set it as my SMS tone. Absolutely gold.
Then I had ACM the next day. Which wasn’t as interesting as I’d expected. Be better if I was actually competing…but alas…I wasn’t chosen, but never fear…always next year.
I was supposed to have a Software Quiz today but our lecturer didn’t hand the quiz to our tutor…so we were left with no quiz…which made me angry since I wanted to get it over and done with.
Currently, I have to say I’m pretty pleased with my results so far. I mean…even though I’m doing less than average in Maths…I’m still doing okay in terms of percentages lost.
Soft Quiz 1: 19/20
Calculus Quiz: 13/15 (Mode was 15)
Stats Quiz: 8/10 (Mode was 10)
COSC C Assignment: 13/14
Still waiting on COSC Matlab assignment, Soft Assignment 1, COSC C quiz and COSC Matlab quiz results. I might be jinxing myself but ah well. Who cares. I also have a psych report due this Friday. I’ve written 750 words and the limit is 1250. Hopefully I can get that done soon, get somebody to proof read it (that means you! whoever you are).
I guess the reason why everybody is doing so "well" in maths this semester is probably due to the fact that everybody that did crap switched over to the normal stream. The normal stream according to people is like…piss weak…but the advanced stream is like hardcore. I haven’t followed any of the lectures so far since week 2. I always understand the first two weeks or so but after that I just copy down notes and hope all goes well in the tutes…The thing is, they like to make everything more complicated than they are. Meh…maybe it’s just me. I’m looking forward to Discrete Maths & Graph Theory next year though since it’s more computing orientated…
After this week, it’ll be a series of FUN FUN FUN! Yippee! Hopefully, my parents will be going on that holiday of theirs meaning I’ll be home alone…again! But it’ll be during Semester Week 10 which sucks…but still it’ll be good by myself. But then again, I need to use the break to catch up on psych readings and catch up on maths and also do my Soft Assignment 2. Hopefully everything will be well.
Anywho, Dota with USYD guys calls me. (Oh screw you guys. I can see you snickering.)
Ciao.
Does she have A.I.D.S?
Sep 3rd
After having a nice 5 minute chat on the phone with Diana after UNI finished, I caught up to David and Pashwell as we walked up to Redfern.
It went something like this:
David: Was that you’re girlfriend?
Me: Yeah. Was it really loud?
David: No no, but judging by the length of the convo…(I forgot but he said some other stuff)
*pause*
Pashwell: Does she have AIDS?
David and I: *3-Second STUN*
Me: wtf?!?!
So yeah…we began laughing about it and wondering to ourselves how he thought of that question to ask out of all the possible questions there is…
A typical guy response is: "Is she hot?" but instead it’s "Does she have a sexually transmitted infection?"
Pashwell then went on describing how much he hates girls who swing their arms as they walk whilst carrying a handbag on their shoulders.
We made some calls regarding these weird behaviours like this potential ad.
"Attractive woman wanted. Must be smart, attractive and outgoing. Having the A.I.D.S virus is a plus. Must not swing arms whilst walking"
or…"Honey, I don’t mind if you have AIDS but if you swing that arm again…I’m going to [insert threat]"
Hehe, good times.
